Introduction-
Word used instead of a Noun is called a Pronoun. The purpose of Pronouns is to avoid repetition and make the sentences easier and sound good. There are many types of Pronouns. Let's study more about Pronouns in this article.

There are eight types of Pronouns:-
- Personal Pronoun.
- Demonstrative Pronoun.
- Possessive Pronoun.
- Interrogative Pronoun.
- Relative Pronoun.
- Reciprocal Pronoun.
- Reflexive Pronoun.
- Indefinite Pronoun.
Among these the three major types of Pronouns are :-
- Personal Pronoun.
- Demonstrative Pronoun.
- Possessive Pronoun.
Personal Pronoun-
Personal Pronouns are used in place of the name of a person, animal or thing. Personal Pronouns can be :-
- First person or the self (I, me, we, us)
- Second person or the Person spoken to (You)
- Third person or the person spoken about ( he, she, it, him, her, they, them)

- I wake up early in the morning.
- They are working in the sun.
- We study in the same class.
- You can use my pen.
- She is a good teacher.
- Can you talk to her ?
- Go with him.
- Tell me the truth.
- The principal scolded them.
Demonstrative Pronoun-
Demonstrative Pronouns are used to point out one or more things.
For example: This, These, That, Those etc.
The highlighted words in the following sentences are the examples of Demonstrative Pronouns:-
- That was an interesting story.
- That car is mine.
- This is vey important lesson.
- These machines are useless.
Possessive Pronouns-
Possessive Pronouns are used to show possession, belonging or ownership.
For example- my, mine, his, her, its, our their, yours, etc.

- That pink bicycle is mine.
- This is a lovely tree. Its leaves are so beautiful.
- Bill Gates wrote his first software program at the age of 13.
- Most people are unhappy with their jobs.
- Liza is going to the garden with her friends.
- Do you brush your teeth daily.
- My house is better than yours.
